Prince Harry has reportedly had some good news to start 2026. His long-running fight for government-funded UK security appears to be nearly over — and it looks like he has won.. A new report has revealed that the Prince and his family will receive armed protection when they visit the UK.

Prince Harry will reportedly be allowed government-funded security during UK trips

Harry has previously spoken about his desire to spend more time in his homecountry. And his trip back to the UK last year reportedly made him eager than ever.

But he’s also been outspoken about the decision to revoke his security by the UK government. He’s argued that it wouldn’t be safe for his family to return to the UK without 24/7 state-funded security.

Well, things have taken a turn. He apparently wrote to Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood in September to ask for a review of the security measures. That subsequent assessment has reportedly decided that he and his family will be entitled to security during their trips to the UK, per the Daily Mail.

A source told the publication: “The only thing that could scupper his approval now would be an intervention from the Palace.” That seems unlikely however, given that Harry and King Charles seem to be on better terms.

Harry’s last visit to the UK could have had an impact on the risk assessment. Reports alleged that a female stalker had managed to get close to the Prince at a charity event. The woman had previously made threats online. A source told the Mail: “If you knew about the kind of threats Harry and his children have been getting then you would understand why he doesn’t want to bring the kids over until police protection is granted.”

The news comes amid reports that Harry is desperately urging Charles to visit him when the monarch visits the US in the spring.
