On Wednesday, Netflix unveiled its full film slate for 2026, announcing release dates for the films War Machine, , and Tyler Perry’s Joe’s College Road Trip, while setting additional cast for the animated Swapped, and unveiling some first-look photos.

A sci-fi actioner starring Alan Ritchson, War Machine is slated for release on March 6. The logline: During the final stage of US Army Ranger selection, an elite team’s training exercise turns into a fight for survival against an unimaginable threat. Pic’s director is Patrick Hughes, who also produced and co-wrote the film.

Dated for May 8, Remarkably Bright Creatures is an adaptation of the bestselling book from Shelby Van Pelt. In the film, a widow who works at a local aquarium finds joy again when she forms an unlikely bond with a Giant Pacific Octopus and a wayward young man who comes to town in search of family. Together, they will uncover a mystery that will lead them to a life-changing discovery and restore their sense of wonder. Directed and co-written by Olivia Newman, the film stars Sally Field, Lewis Pullman, Colm Meaney and more.

Tyler Perry’s Joe’s College Road Trip — written, directed by and starring Tyler Perry — premieres on Netflix February 13. The film follows Joe (Perry), who in an effort to teach B.J. (Jermaine Harris) about the real world, takes him on a cross-country college road trip where tensions get high but life-changing lessons are learned. Perry produced alongside Angi Bones. The film is one of three from the filmmaker on today’s slate — the others being Tyler Perry’s The Gospel of Christmas and Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Again?, neither of which has been dated.

Swapped, an animated feature formerly known as Pookoo, has added Tracy Morgan and Cedric the Entertainer to its cast. No character details were disclosed, though the caption for a first-look photo you can view below reveals Morgan is playing a fish named Boogle. The film is a buddy comedy about a small woodland creature (voiced by Michael B. Jordan) and a majestic bird (voiced by Juno Temple) — natural sworn enemies of The Valley — who suddenly swap bodies and must team up (while walking in each other’s feathers and fur) to survive the wildest adventure of their lives.

In addition to Swapped, Netflix unveiled first-look photos this morning for Enola Holmes 3 — the latest installment in its Millie Bobby Brown detective film series, based on the books by Nancy Springer — as well as its Matt Spicer comedy Little Brother, starring John Cena and Eric André.

High-profile titles set for release this year which have not yet been dated by Netflix include Louis Leterrier’s sci-fi thriller 11817 starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura, the Kevin Hart comedy 72 Hours from Tim Story, Ben Affleck’s thriller Animals, Lena Dunham’s comedy Good Sex, thriller Here Comes the Flood starring Denzel Washington, Robert Pattinson and Daisy Edgar-Jones, Greta Gerwig’s Narnia (which we do know comes out in Imax in November and on Netflix in December), rom-com Office Romance starring Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein, Sing Sing helmer Greg Kwedar’s Saturn Return, and the serial killer thriller The Whisper Man starring Robert De Niro.
