The Tron: Ares overlay at the Magic Kingdom now has a closure date. The overlay, which made its debut in September, will end about four months after it first began running on September 15 at Walt Disney World.

Tron: Ares Overlay EndingThe TRON Lightcycle/Run entrance glows red at night with a futuristic canopy, rivaling nighttime vibes of other Disney parks rides.

The overlay will end on January 19 at Magic Kingdom. The overlay inspired by the new TRON film debuted in September, a month before the film’s release. The ride’s blue lights were replaced by red, which is reflected in the updated on-ride photo.

It also received new Master Control narration and is set to the Nine Inch Nails movie soundtrack. The regular TRON Lightcycle Run will be available again on January 20.

The Blu-Ray, DVD & Steelbook release date from Tron: Ares was recently announced, as well as the Disney+ streaming date.

The home video release comes three months after the third TRON film was released in theaters. It was a box office bomb, earning only $142.2 million on a budget between $180 and $220 million. Critics reactions were mixed and it was suggested the film was just an advertisement for the TRON ride at Magic Kingdom. The film’s score and original song by Nine Inch Nails, as well as the visual effects, did earn mentions on the Oscars shortlist.
