By now you’ll have picked out your favourites from The Traitors’ fourth season cast, and could even have your eye on who has what it takes to get to the final. Whether you’re Team Traitors or Team Faithful, let us share our expert ranking (our credentials? Only our TV obsessiveness) of the current frequenters of the castle…

17. Reece

He seems to have now managed to convince most of the others of his Faithful status, after his emotional reaction to his almost-exit at the roundtable. But he’s frustrated viewers by seemingly failing to clock that he witnessed two Traitors scheming at the Family Tree picture on the night that nine of them were marked with a red fingerprint…

16. Jack

Jack and his earrings are bringing serious style to the castle, but he’s not made much of a mark on the game so far…

15. Matthew

We’re loving his knitwear, but Matthew has also been fairly quiet so far. The last roundtable debate was a bit more promising, so maybe there is more to come from him.

14. Faraaz

Another one who’s taken some time to warm up, but we loved to see him getting the conversation started around Wednesday night’s roundtable. More of that, please!

13. Sam

Really desperate to get it right, his misjudgment of Judy in the first banishing seems to have knocked his confidence in speaking out, which has opened him up to suspicion – and has currently landed him in a cage.

12. James

Voices too many times that everyone around him is a Faithful, and can’t quite let go of certain (wrong) theories. Before the show, James also said he had an “innate ability to read people like a book” – so we’re hoping to see that skill in action any day now…

11. Jade

Poor Jade hasn’t been dealt the easiest hand. For whatever reason, Amanda is convinced that she is a Traitor and won’t stop bringing it up, and then Hugo’s attempts to defend her only made it harder for her to clear her name.

10. Adam

The builder from Essex is bringing some quippy one-liners, which are great from an entertainment standpoint. And his efforts to save Maz from the cage were truly inspirational, marking him out as a good Faithful too.

9. Stephen

We were pleased to see early favourite Stephen picked as a Traitor and had high hopes for him to be an integral part of the game.

But, by his own admission, he’s made a few mistakes, and looks guilty AF during the round tables. So we can’t help but feel that his days in the castle are numbered…

8. Rachel

As Fiona noted, Rachel is very much playing her own game and it remains to be seen whether this will pay off for her, especially now that she’s got more than just Stephen to contend with in the turret.

She has the smarts and the potential to be a brilliant Traitor though, we just hope that she and Fiona can start to see eye to eye for some effective Girl Power in action.

7. Maz

He’s been largely flying under the radar, which can be a worthy strategy and serve you well early on in the game. He’s clearly liked in the castle, as despite Stephen’s efforts to pin the Family Tree debacle on him, nobody bit.

Sadly though, as he sits in the rain in a cage, his time could soon be up.

6. Amanda

Instantly iconic, we loved watching her back-and-forth with Hugo. “I’m a lesbian.” Put it on a T-shirt. Cue the fan edits.

She’s undoubtedly trying to apply her detective skills to the game, and has the potential to be a strong Faithful. But as she’s kept her former profession under wraps from the others, this is also starting to feed into some suspicions.

Her bond with Rachel is also a tricky one, but could provide an edge-of-the-seat finale moment for the ages (if they both make it that far).

5. Roxy

We’re really enjoying Roxy. An incredibly passionate advocate for those she trusts (understandably, this was especially true in her defence of mum Judy), and she’s not afraid to speak up, which could serve her well. A strong and obvious Faithful.

4. Ellie

Having a psychologist in the game adds an interesting dynamic; her suggestion that Ross was in fact a Faithful, but was appearing suspicious because he was under pressure, was a brilliant insight (although little did we know at the time that the pair were in a relationship…).

Her promise to avenge him after his unfair banishment has given us high hopes that we’ll be seeing much more active stirring from Ellie going forward.

3. Harriet

Shaping up to be one of the strongest Faithfuls, our resident (and secret) barrister absolutely smashed it when she presented her closing argument about Hugo.

Harriet’s orchestration of uncloaking the group’s first Traitor won her a lot of support, we just have to see whether she can keep that momentum going…

2. Jessie

Not just here for her fabulous eyeshadow, Jessie has been one of the standout personalities so far this series. She is the only one that really has Stephen truly sussed, and is trying to do everything she can to get the others to listen…

1. Fiona

Was anyone else going to take the top spot? Our resident Secret Traitor (who now isn’t so secret) has been pulling the strings from the very first day, and that post-reveal montage gave us everything we’ve been waiting for from the new series of The Traitors.

What’s more, Fiona’s tendency to completely relish every aspect of her devious role is giving Alan Carr vibes, and we finally have a Traitor who we really want to be rooting for…

The Traitors airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
