The Sussexes are “proud” to be part of a parenting trend concerned of the impact smarphones can have on children, Meghan Markle has said. The Duke and Duchess, whose children Archie and Lilibet are six and four-years-old respectively, both spoke at an Oprah virtual launch event for a book which “invites kids to step back from their screens” and how they can enjoy life without a smart phone.

Harry and Meghan showed their support for the cause, with the Prince calling the topic “incredibly valuable”. He “because over the years, we’ve worked with how the digital spaces [are] deeply affecting our collective and mental, emotional, and physical health”. Meghan said: “An emoji laugh is not the same physiological response that we need, that our kids need.”
