Sarah Ferguson once lived a life of royal privilege at the Royal Lodge. However, now she is without her TV roles, her charity positions, and her home in Windsor — and insiders claim she feels humiliated by how fast it all unravelled. Ferguson is trying to keep her footing after a year that shook her whole sense of stability. And now, she is reportedly unsure of how to start again at this stage of her life, especially as she tackles public backlash and significant uncertainty.

Sarah Ferguson finds it hard to accept that her royal life collapsed overnight, says source

A source close to Sarah Ferguson told Radar Online, “She finds the situation humiliating beyond belief.” Last year, the royals asked her and the former Prince Andrew to leave the Royal Lodge after living for more than two decades there, and since then, she lost her spots on ITV’s “Loose Women” and “This Morning.” Moreover, charities that once welcomed her have now reportedly distanced themselves.

The insider added that Ferguson keeps asking how life could change so overnight and is annoyed that King Charles made the call to strip her and Andrew of their home. As per the source, she thinks the treatment is “unfair.” Andrew reportedly shares her frustration, believing their late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, would not have wanted such a drastic move.

Now, the 66-year-old is looking to her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, for support, and reports suggest that she may move to Portugal, where Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, own a villa.

However, the source claimed that the girls are treading carefully. In that, “They’re being courteous towards their folks but keeping them at arm’s length,” and they want to help, but they also have to think about their own royal duties.

Additionally, money worries have become a daily concern, so for someone who believed her royal life would last forever, this awakening has been brutal. As Sarah Ferguson tries to rebuild, those around her claim she is learning a difficult lesson.
