Prince Harry is reportedly closer than he has been since 2020 to his royal reunion, as the possible government-backed security in the UK is expected to be restored.
Sources told RadarOnline.com that a new security review has found the Duke of Sussex meets the requirements for official protection when visiting Britain.
The assessment was carried out for the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, known as Ravec, after Harry pushed for a review following years of legal battles with the British government.
It is pertinent to mention that Harry lost his taxpayer-funded police protection after he stepped away from his royal duties more than five years ago.
An insider close to the duke claimed, “The discussion stage is essentially over.”
“Those involved now acknowledge that the threats facing Harry and his children are genuine and persistent, and everything we are hearing suggests the outcome has already been settled,” the source added.
A second source noted, “If the full scale and severity of the threats were publicly known, it would be clear why Harry has been unwilling to travel with his children to Britain without comprehensive security in place.”
But security is not the only problem. The palace aides claim senior royal members will only be open to welcoming Harry under strict conditions.
One courtier said, “There is a feeling that the family cannot go through another round of revelations.
“Before there is any meaningful rapprochement, Harry would need to give firm assurances that he will not speak publicly about private family matters again.”
