There was extreme racism here in America during WW2 against the Japanese, even those that were documented American citizens. Those making the argument that warranted hate and prejudice is justified and isn’t “actually” racist is just wrong. It is racism. And the movie does a great job with Neytiris character showcasing how hard it is for someone to be in her position, to grieve, hate, and eventually come to break those boundaries to then love someone that used to fall into that personal prejudice and racism. Neytiri was racist but she grew at least a little away from it
