The Scream franchise turns 30 this year, and its killer legacy comes full circle in Scream 7.
Our exclusive TV spot celebrates the franchise’s enduring legacy and how everything has led to this, the seventh installment of the slasher sequel created by original director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson.
Watch below as the clip rewinds to 1996 to chronicle Sidney Prescott’s enduring battle with Ghostface, one that brings her daughter into the mix in the upcoming sequel. Even the Scream logo gets the legacy treatment, highlighting its transformation over the years between films.
Paramount’s Scream 7 will be slashing its way into theaters on February 27, 2026.
Neve Campbell is back as Sidney Prescott, with the character taking center stage in the seventh installment, and she’ll be joined by returning players including David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Scott Foley and Matthew Lillard, with Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown also set to reprise their roles from the previous two installments.
Here’s the official plot synopsis: “When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.”
This Ghostface wants to burn it all down.
Set two years after Scream VI, Scream 7 is being directed by Kevin Williamson from a script by Guy Busick (Scream 2022, Scream VI) and Williamson.
The cast for Scream 7 also includes Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons and Mark Consuelos.
