It seems like life often imitates art when it comes to Hollywood co-star couples.
Tell Me Lies co-stars Grace Van Patten and Jackson White took their characters’ romance off-screen, hopefully with less toxicity. Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander also had such a good time playing a married couple in The Light Between Oceans that they decided to become one in real life, too.

Tell Me Lies co-stars Grace Van Patten and Jackson White met on set of the show in 2022, but didn’t confirm their relationship until October 2022, after the show premiered.
Luckily, Van Patten confirmed in an August 2025 interview with People that her romance with White is nothing like their on-screen toxic couple dynamic.
“Our relationship feels very grounded and easy, and we really understand each other,” Van Patten said. “And he’s such a dedicated, ambitious human that I learn from every day, and he’s so extremely supportive.”
Jennifer Love Hewitt & Brian Hallisay
