HOLLYWOOD, CA — Actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested early Monday morning following an altercation with a ride-hailing driver, according to reports.
Officers were dispatched to the scene, near Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue, where police learned that Sutherland had assaulted the driver after entering the vehicle, NBC Los Angeles reported.
Shortly after midnight, Sutherland, 59, was arrested on suspicion of felony criminal threats, according to ABC 7.
He was released on $50,000 bail shortly before noon Monday. He’s due in court on Feb. 2, according to jail records.
No injuries requiring medical treatment were reported, according to ABC 7.
Sutherland is best known for his role as Jack Bauer on the Fox series “24,” for which he won an Emmy and Golden Globe. He recently starred in the films “Stone Cold Fox” and “Tinsel Town.”
