Dhurandhar maintained a strong hold in its 6th week too. The movie collected Rs. 2.50 crore on Tuesday, registering a spike of 20 percent. This took the 6th week cume to Rs. 19.25 crore, which is again an all-time record for an Indian film.
Dhurandhar stormed past the previous recordholder, Stree 2 (Rs. 17 crore), and recorded the biggest 6th week of all time at the Hindi box office, that too, in 5 days only. It will close this week around Rs. 22 crore, which will be a new benchmark for the upcoming releases.
The running cume of Dhurandhar has reached Rs. 764.25 crore net at the Indian box office in its 40 days of theatrical run. It will zoom past the Rs. 775 crore mark in the seventh week. Achieving Rs. 800 crore milestone also seems in its radar now as the movie will keep luring the audience after the new releases.
However, the biggest hurdle for Dhurandhar will be Border 2. If the Ranveer Singh movie manages to stay strong against the Sunny Deol-led military drama sequel, it will have a chance to emerge as the first ever Indian film to touch the Rs. 800 crore net mark in Hindi.
Dhurandhar has also emerged as the most-watched original Hindi film theatrically in the post-pandemic era, overtaking Gadar 2. It is expected to close its run by crossing the 3.50 crore footfalls. However, surpassing the 3.70 crore footfalls of Dangal, to become the most-watched original Hindi film of the last 25 years, seems quite tough.
