In response, Hirsch pointed out that he referred to Jenner as “my partner” and his “foundation.”
But Handler’s main issue was Chalamet saying he couldn’t have done it without Jenner, resisting the idea as she said, “Well, that’s ridiculous. Obviously, he could do it without her. I mean, that’s so stupid.” Hirsch noted that not every celebrity thanks their significant other in a speech, but Handler still found the phrasing over the top.
