The Hills and Laguna Beach alum, 39, welcomed her first baby, a girl named Nelle, with husband Dom Natale, announcing the exciting news via Instagram on Thursday, Jan. 15.

“Our girl Nelle is here,” Bosworth wrote in the announcement. “She started the year by surprising us two weeks early, but really, she was right on time. Our teeny one is named for her Oma and already so loved.”

In her post, Bosworth shared an adorable first look at her baby girl as well as a photo from her laboring in the hospital with Natale.

In the comments, her Laguna Beach and The Hills costar Lauren Conrad expressed excitement for the family. “Welcome to the world sweet girl!! So happy for you you guys 🤍,” Conrad wrote.

Lo and Dom tied the knot at her family’s home in Laguna Beach on Sunday, July 20. Lo was four months pregnant with Nelle when she walked down the aisle.

The couple’s original plan was a big, New York City wedding, but they switched plans to an intimate setting with just their close family members upon starting their fertility journey.

“We wanted our wedding to meet the moment of where we’re at right now,” Lo told PEOPLE. “We could take off our shoes, stretch out, enjoy great food and the beautiful decor and relax.”

On their wedding day, Lo’s stylist friend, Thomas Carter, dressed her in a custom Hailey Desjardins dress. The beachy waves and understated makeup look were done by Lo herself.

“When we set our date in July, we didn’t know if our planned IVF cycle would be successful. I bought a dress (or two) early on in the hopes one would still work if we got lucky,” Bosworth said. “Three weeks before my wedding, nothing fit and I put into a call to my stylist friend, Thomas Carter Phillips, who works with an incredibly talented tailor, Hailey Desjardins, to build me a dress from scratch.”

She continued: “At that point, I was more than three months pregnant, had gained weight from the transfer medications and was starting to show. We decided a classic look that accentuated my bump would be best. My finished dress got delivered at 8 p.m. the night before I left for our wedding, and I could not be more grateful to Tommy and Hailey for saving me in one the most extreme pinches of my life.”

Lo previously spoke to PEOPLE about undergoing endometriosis surgery, and posted on Instagram about the disease’s impact on her fertility.

Her surgery took place just eight weeks after her then-fiancé had undergone double-jaw surgery. The couple got through recovery together, and soon embarked on the IVF journey together.
