EXCLUSIVE: Shawn Levy‘s 21 Laps Entertainment is marking its 20th anniversary with an expanded presence on the East Coast, opening a New York office, and adding two executives to its team. Bryan Oh has joined as Executive Vice President. Additionally, the film and TV production company has brought in Sophie Levy as Creative Executive. Headed by Levy and Partner Dan Levine, 21 Laps retains its main offices in Los Angeles.

“Bryan and Sophie both bring a level of taste and passion that will mesh seamlessly with our incredible roster of 21 Laps executives. Collectively, this team of hardworking, kind, and story-obsessed creative execs stand poised and hungry for the movies and shows we intend to make as we kick off our 20th anniversary year,” said Levy.

Oh moves to 21 Laps from Paramount Pictures where he served as SVP of Production. During his time at Paramount, Oh supervised Bob Marley: One Love, which broke box office records upon its release, as well as the recently released horror feature Primate. Prior to Paramount, Oh served as Head of Development at Allison Shearmur Productions, where his producing credits included Disney’s The One and Only Ivan. He began his career at UTA before transitioning into film development and production. Oh is currently producing an untitled Paramount/HYBE K-pop feature for Paramount Pictures, slated for release in 2027, and will continue his role as producer throughout the transition. Oh will be based in Los Angeles.

“Bryan’s extensive background as both a studio exec and a producer, gives him a 360-degree sense of the business” says 21 Laps Partner, Levine. “We also love that Bryan worked for, and trained under, the late Alli Shearmur, a producer of impeccable taste who impacted Shawn’s and my careers, and whose early support of Bryan speaks volumes about his intelligence and pedigree.”

Sophie Levy, daughter of Shawn Levy, joins 21 Laps to run scripted development for the newly established New York offices. A graduate of Barnard College at Columbia University, Levy previously served as Creative Executive at New York–based independent financier Closer Media where she began in scripted development under award-winning veteran producer Bill Horberg. Closer Media credits there include The History of Sound, Ezra, and In Restless Dreams: The Music of Paul Simon.

“Since my move to New York a few years ago, I’ve been looking forward to 21 Laps planting a flag in this creatively rich and vibrant city too,” Shawn Levy added.  “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome these accomplished new team members and for 21 Laps’ continued growth as a home and empowering outlet for storytellers.”

21 Laps is behind Netflix’s mega hit series Stranger Things, which recently wrapped its fifth and final season. It’s currently in post-production on Star Wars: Starfighter, and is in production on a high school hockey drama series starring Michelle Monaghan, as well as in pre-production on the feature comedy, One Attempt Remaining, starring Jennifer Garner, both for Netflix.
