Hilaria Baldwin is calling out the haters coming after her and husband, Alec Baldwin‘s eldest daughter, Carmen.

On Monday, January 19, the Dancing with the Stars alum, 42, posted a since-deleted video on Instagram in response to a comment left underneath an Instagram Reel she posted of Carmen. The comment read, “How on earth do you let a 12 y/o dress like this … EVERYTHING!” according to People.

In the original video, which is still up, Carmen dons a white tank top, a beige skirt, and black tights, mouths the lyrics to a song, and poses with her two younger sisters.

The mom of seven noted, per People, that “the way to take care of” a tween “is not through Instagram comments or shaming.”

“What I do with my kids [is] I talk about it with them, like ‘Hey, you’ve got to be careful online [and] on the street,’ so my kids, don’t worry, my kids are so safe,” she explained.

Addressing Carmen’s outfit directly, Hilaria said, “Wearing a tank top and a skirt and tights. She’s been wearing that her whole life. So why is it making you uncomfortable?”

“Yes, teach about predators, but ultimately women can do more harm to each other through this kind of comment because it’s shaming and it’s not inclusive,” she added.
