Call the Midwife’s Trixie Aylward star has been flooded with support following her latest update with boyfriend Dan Innes.

Call the Midwife legend Helen George has received a flurry of well-wishes after a family update alongside her new boyfriend.
The 40-year-old actress, who plays Nurse Trixie Aylward on the BBC period drama, has recently enjoyed a “magical” holiday to Finland with her new partner, Dan Innes, along with her two daughters, Wren Ivy, 7, and Lark, 4, whom she shares with former partner Jack Ashton.
Helen’s stunning trip to Lapland appeared to be her first vacation with her children and her boyfriend, whom she has been dating for one year, marking the seriousness of their blossoming relationship.
Taking to social media, Helen shared a string of snaps from their trip, including rare photos alongside her children and a stunning selfie wearing a faux-fur hat and a scarf covering her mouth to mark the cold weather. Helen’s piercing blue eyes stare into the camera as a distorted, snowy background is visible.

In another photo, Dan wears a red jacket and a black hat as he stands in the dark with the dazzling Aurora Borealis above him.
Helen is pictured enjoying a skiing session with her daughters in one black-and-white photo, and in another, she wears a lovely swimsuit in freezing conditions.
She captioned the post: “Lows of -32°, highs of Aurora, Husky’s, whiskeys, sauna hats. Magical memories in Lapland.”
Her friends and followers wasted no time in flooding the comments section with compliments, as one person wrote: “Love love love these photos. Magical, you give the girls the most amazing experiences!” While a second shared: “Just magical!”

“Cute pictures. Love seeing your girls. Burr in your swimsuit,” a third added, while another exclaimed: “Absolutely heaven.”
“Beautiful photos,” penned one person as another added: “Looks great hope u all had a wonderful time.”
It is believed Helen found happiness with Dan after connecting on the dating platform Raya. She confirmed her new romance on Valentine’s Day in 2025 when she shared the evening with Dan at the riverside restaurant, The Watermans Arms, in Barnes.
Tagging Dan in an Instagram of her table, filled with tasty-looking plates of steak, chips, and two glasses of red wine, she penned: “The most delicious Valentine’s over-ordering. Hearts and stomachs full.”
According to Dan’s LinkedIn profile, he has over 25 years of experience in real estate and attended Newcastle University. He is currently the managing director and founder of real estate consultancy firm Innesco, according to his Instagram profile.

Helen shares her two daughters, Wren and Lark, with her ex-partner of seven years, Jack Ashton, with whom she split in 2023.
The former couple met on the set of Call the Midwife, where Jack played the local vicar, Reverend Tom Hereward, who had an on-screen relationship with Trixie Franklin.
Away from the rolling cameras, Helen and Jack’s relationship blossomed, and they started a family together.
Confirming her split from Jack, Helen told The Mirror in July 2023: “Some months ago, we separated. Our two beautiful girls remain the focus, and I respectfully ask for privacy for this next chapter.”
