Meghan Markle’s Netflix show has been blasted by a royal expert after it was revealed that it may not return to screens. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, celebrated the launch of her Netflix show “With Love, Meghan” last year, with two seasons of the cooking show released in quick succession.

This was then followed by a special festive episode in December. While many of Meghan’s fans liked the show, it also resulted in much criticism for The Duchess of Sussex, especially as viewer ratings were believed to have been much lower than expected.

Although this has not been confirmed by Meghan or Netflix, a source revealed that the show is unlikely to return for a third round of episodes.

While this may leave some of Meghan’s fans disappointed, it will not be bad news for everyone, including royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams.

Speaking to The Express, Richard called the show “cringey, smiley rubbish” and dubbed it as “forgettable”.

He said: “It’s hard to sell cringey, smiley rubbish. Meghan’s cookery show has had overmuch exposure as it is with the first two series being filmed back to back, which was an error as nothing could be learned from the feedback.”

Mr Fitzwilliams continued: “Netflix cannot be happy with the result. Some watched but nothing like the number that Netflix hoped. The reviews rightly incinerated it and the festive special was significant only in that it emphasised that A listers avoided it.

“It is therefore no surprise that it may not return. It is forgettable at best, viewers who were forced to see it all, as I was, longed to tell Meghan where to put those floral ice cubes. Harry’s appearances was reduced to pitiful cameos.”

Since launching last April, the brand has seen some success and now sells a range of products from wines, to spreads, candles and even a bookmark.
