Brooklyn Peltz Beckham takes to Instagram to air family grievances
Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, broke his silence on family feud rumors with a scathing post on Instagram.
“Viva Forever” Spice Girls.
Victoria Beckham, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell-Horner reunited on Saturday, Jan. 24, as the group’s youngest member, Emma Bunton, celebrated her 50th birthday.
“Happy birthday to the most beautiful soul @emmaleebunton I love you girls so much @gerihalliwellhorner @melaniecmusic xxxxxxx,” Beckham captioned a photo of the four women, which did not include fifth member Mel B.
“The most beautiful night celebrating our @emmaleebunton over 30 years of friendship, love you all more than ever 💖,” Chisholm wrote in the caption of her post.
January also marked Chisholm’s 52nd birthday.
The reunion comes days after Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, put his famous parents on blast following months of tabloid speculation about a rift in the family.
In a lengthy statement he rolled out in his Instagram stories on Jan. 19, remarks, Brooklyn wrote that he has taken a step back from his family after being “consistently disrespected” as “my parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.”
The 26-year-old, who has been married to actress Nicola Peltz Beckham since 2022, wrote that he does “not want to reconcile with my family” and is “standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Victoria and David Beckham have not directly addressed their son’s allegations, though David made a cryptic statement on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” about trying to educate his children on the pitfalls of social media use and noting they “make mistakes.”
Spice Girls reunions over the years
“When we’re all together, it’s like you’re being punched in the stomach, as in it’s quite a force,” Bunton said on the Dec. 15 episode of the Unlikely Friends podcast. “When we get together, we’re like kids.”
The group has documented their reunions over the years, including for Beckham’s 50th birthday in April 2024. The five members treated the star-studded guest list to a performance of their hit song, “Stop,” as documented by David Beckham.
The Spice Girls embarked on a 2019 reunion tour sans Victoria Beckham, which was due to a scheduling conflict, she’d explained at the time. Mel B has teased an upcoming Spice Girls project in recent years, though she never revealed details other than that it would be announced “soon,” as she said on the “Today” show in March 2024.
