Billie Eilish drops cryptic message to ‘fellow celebrities’ amid ICE outrage

Billie Eilish doesn’t hold back when it comes to voicing her opinions on political and social issues that matter to her.

On Sunday, January 25, the 24-year-old singer turned to her Instagram account to share a thought-provoking message directed at her fellow entertainers.

“Hey, my fellow celebrities, you’re gonna speak up? Or,” Eilish captioned the post alongside a selfie of herself.

Her striking message comes amid growing concerns over the political unrest in the United States, following the fatal shooting of ICU nurse Alex Jeffrey Pretti and the earlier killing of Renee Good, both incidents involving U.S. immigration enforcement officers.

The CHIHIRO hitmaker took a sharp aim at the U.S. immigration authorities and encouraged Hollywood stars to use their platforms to speak out against what she sees as the atrocities happening in the country.

Prior to that, Eilish also expressed her frustration over disruptions on the social media platform TikTok, where users reported issues such as comments failing to post and feeds freezing.

Posting a post of her brother and music collaborator, FINNEAS, she wrote, “TikTok is silencing people btw.” (sic)

This isn’t the first time the Grammy-winning artist has called out people in power for staying silent when collective action is needed.

At the 2025 WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards, Eilish said, “If you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? No hate, but yeah, give your money away, shorties.”

On the professional note, Billie Eilish also teased that HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D) will be released on May 8, 2026.
