The country music world is praying for singer Jo Dee Messina after she shared some heartbreaking news on social media.
Messina shared a video of her father, Vincent Messina, getting emotional while singing “Daddy’s Little Girl,” to her.
“November 28, 1931 — January 23, 2026 we lost my Dad last night,” she wrote in a post on Instagram on Jan. 24. “It doesn’t matter how old you are, it’s never easy to lose a parent. So much more to his story.”
Her followers were quick to respond with love.
“So sorry,” one person replied. “Prayers for your family during this difficult time.”
“I am so sorry for you loss,” another replied. “Sending thoughts and prayers your way. What a special memory.”
“So sorry & so beautiful you have him singing to you,” another wrote.
“He seems like he was so much fun and loved his family dearly!” another replied. “I can relate. Again … so sorry to hear. Losing a parent is so difficult!”
