Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding planner said he is “surprised” the model has hit out against his parents.
Preston Bailey, who orchestrated the ceremony in 2022, described Brooklyn, aged 26, as “a nice, gentle guy” and didn’t know recognise any “tension” between he and Lady Victoria and Sir David at the time. He also defended Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz, stressing he never found the 31-year-old actress “bossy” despite allegations aimed at her in recent weeks. Yet, it was revealed this week Nicola struggled to call her husband’s parents by their names.
But Preston said today: “I don’t remember her being bossy. I remember a lot of affection between them (Nicola and Brooklyn). Whatever design was done was presented to Nicola, but it was important for her to have Brooklyn approve it. She wasn’t going to do anything without his approval.”
Preston, who has also worked with Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Uma Thurman and Michael Douglas, among others, has spoken out in the wake of Brooklyn’s scathing statement about his estrangement from his famous parents.

Speaking to Page Six, Preston added: “It surprises me that he is taking this stand against his parents. That’s not the Brooklyn I met as far as him being this nice, gentle guy… He was just a nice, regular person who would say hello and chit chat.
“I can tell you about my experience with Brooklyn. While we were planning, clearly as far as the details for the design, he was very much involved. I have always thought of him as a gentle, decent guy. There was never any tension.”
But Brooklyn has accused Lady Victoria, 51, of “dancing inappropriately” at the wedding, alleged actions which he said left him embarrassed. His fans have urged the aspiring chef to release the footage of the alleged dancing to support his case.
Brooklyn has also hit out at his mum for allegedly cancelling plans to have her atalier make Nicola’s dress and has claimed his parents pressured him to “sign away the right to my name” before the nups.
Lady Victoria and Sir David, though, have remained defiant amid the controversy. The fashion designer was handed a prestigious award in Paris this week. In her address, she recognised all her children — without naming them specifically. She said: “This is not the achievement of just one person. From design and the atelier, to the production and communication teams, and the many minds and hands working together — it is a collaborative effort, and this distinction isn’t mine alone. So I’d like to thank my incredible team for their dedication, creativity and trust. Thank you to my parents and to my children who are always believing in my vision.”
