Ray J has recently opened up about his unfortunate health news, following a recent hospitalization.
The musician and actor revealed that he doesn’t expect to live beyond 2027 after drug and alcohol use has damaged his heart, and left it “only beating 25 percent.”
“2027 is definitely a wrap for me,” he said in an Instagram livestream on Tuesday, gesturing to his heart. “This is black. This is, like, done.”
The Raydemption artist noted he “almost died” when he was hospitalized for pneumonia after drinking “like four or five bottles” and taking “10 Addys” daily.
“I f*cked up. I think I thought I had more weight,” he said. “I thought I was big so I could handle all the alcohol, I could handle all the Adderall, I could handle all the drugs—but I couldn’t. It curved my time here.”

Ray J added, “I’m like, ‘Ain’t nothing happening to me.’ I’m indestructible.”
Previously, in another Instagram video, Ray J said his heart was “only beating 25 percent,” although he was optimistic about his prognosis.
“As long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be all right,” he said. “My health is not OK, so I thank everybody for supporting and praying for me through everything I’ve been in the hospital.”
Ray J continued, “My momma and my daddy coming to pick me up tomorrow and they’re gonna take me to the checkup. Shoutout to my momma and daddy, and shoutout to Brandy for looking out for me. My sister paid my bills for me for the rest of the year. That’s crazy.”
