The Instagram post announced that there is now a “countdown” to a “big reveal,” which may refer to an opening date announcement for the upcoming Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The short teaser features the covered ride vehicles zipping past a variety of sights and locations around the Los Angeles area that fans of the Fast & Furious franchise will recognize, including the Toretto family home and Toretto Market & Cafe (Bob’s Market in reality).

We have been closely tracking construction progress on the new coaster since work began at Universal Studios Hollywood. The current state of development, combined with this official teaser, suggests that an announcement for the ride’s opening date may be just around the corner.

Just last week, we also covered news that Hollywood Drift would be coming to Universal Studios Florida, taking the place of the now-demolished Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.
