Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are hoping to pursue more Hollywood opportunities, a source has claimed. Under their Archewell Productions group, the Sussexes co-produced a documentary about Girl Scouts selling biscuits and were pictured together recently at the Sundance festival in Utah.

One source noted that the Sussex team were “poking around for job opportunities”. They said: “Clearly, there’s a lot riding on this documentary. Honestly, it feels like this is their last chance at redemption and that this whole Hollywood experiment hangs in the balance.”

The source told Page Six: “It was only a few years ago that Harry and Meghan would’ve blown through Park City, like, well, royalty. For years, they were riding high with a lucrative overall deal at Netflix and Ted Sarandos on speed dial.”

When Harry and Meghan quit as working royals, they signed a deal with Netflix reported at the time to be worth £75million, and its offerings for the streaming giant included their self-titled documentary series, which covered its love story and royal exit; Meghan’s lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan; and Polo – a documentary series looking at the world of the exclusive sport.

Last year, it was announced that the couple had signed a new, more flexible deal with Netflix, which gave the company a “first look” option on any of the couple’s ideas.

During a sit-down with Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit 2025, Meghan said: “My husband and I were in an overall deal with Netflix, and then not just similar to Higher Ground in the Obamas’ deal, once that had come to its term, the extension of it, which was such an incredible sign of the strength of our partnership, was now being in a first-look deal.”

In 2023, the couple and Spotify “mutually agreed to part ways” after only one podcast, Meghan’s show Archetypes, was delivered.

Meghan then signed with Lemonada Media to release the podcast, ‘Confessions of a Female Founder’, which received mixed reviews. It is not known if a second series will air.
