Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner “aren’t exactly thrilled” with Jennifer Lopez’s recent decision involving their kids, Violet and Fin, according to a new report.
A source told Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” Substack in a report on January 17 that Garner and Affleck are “uncomfortable” after Lopez invited their kids to her racy Up All Night residency at Las Vegas’ Resorts World.

“She invited Ben’s kids,” the insider said. “Despite everything they’ve been through, they’re still a family unit in many ways. Jennifer genuinely cares about the kids, and Ben appreciates that — but Ben and Jennifer Garner aren’t exactly thrilled by how wild the show is.”
The source continued, “She’s still very close with Ben’s kids. They reunited over the holidays, but some of the show’s more provocative moments made both Ben and Jennifer Garner uncomfortable. It’s a lot for them to take in.”
Garner and Affleck married in 2005 and announced their separation in 2015. They filed for divorce in 2018. Affleck and Lopez, who first dated and were previously engaged 2002 to 2004, rekindled their relationship in 2021 before marrying in 2022. They divorced in 2024.
Despite their shared ex-husband, a source told People in March 2025 that Garner and Lopez remain good friends. “Jennifer Garner reaches out to Jennifer Lopez about her kids. Jennifer Lopez reaches out to Jennifer Garner about her kids. They’re friends,” the inside said. “They have really found a great female support system and communicate.”
The source continued, “We’re always pitting women against women. In this case, it’s just not the truth.”
Lopez and Affleck also remain close, with a source telling The Sun in January 2026 that the actor is still struggling with their divorce. “At this stage in his life, he feels the absence of a stable, long-term relationship very strongly — and that makes it hard for him to move on,” the insider said. “He truly believes in that idea, and having it fall apart twice, with both Jennifers, has crushed him.”
The insider continued, “Ben is deeply romantic — someone who gives 110 percent in a relationship. When it fails, he takes it as a personal failure, and that’s something he’s still struggling to move past.”
