Margot Robbie made a high-fashion statement at the world premiere of Wuthering Heights in LA
She wore a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown designed by Daniel Roseberry. The look featured a lace corseted bodice and a dramatic, sculptural skirt with a “red-to-black fumato” fade, intended to represent the “decay” and dark romanticism of the film’s setting.
The centerpiece of her look was the legendary Taj Mahal Diamond necklace. This heart-shaped Mughal-era diamond was famously a 40th birthday gift from Richard Burton to Elizabeth Taylor in 1972.
Styled by Andrew Mukamal, the look was part of a “Brontë-core” press tour aesthetic. She walked the red carpet with her co-star Jacob Elordi, who plays Heathcliff in the film. Jacob praised Margot by stating she is “exceptionally easy to work with”. Elordi noted that they both share a deep love for movies, which allowed them to “meet in the middle” while filming.
