Amanda Owen has shared the “overwhelming pride and love” she felt for daughter Raven on the day she graduated because she managed to start a broken down car.
The Our Yorkshire Farm and Our Farm Next Door star is mum to nine children with her ex Clive. She has often emphasised the importance of raising children with solid life skills as their lives on Ravenseat Farm in the Yorkshire Dales are documented in their TV shows.
Raven, 24, is the eldest of their children and in 2022 she graduated from York St John’s University with a Biomedical Science degree.
Reflecting on the special milestone, TV star Amanda shared some images of Raven’s graduation on Instagram, along with a snap of her degree certificate.

“For Raven,” wrote the star, who is also known as the Yorkshire Shepherdess.
“I remember so fondly how proud I felt on the day of your graduation.
“You had managed to get your neighbours car started without jump leads by disconnecting your car battery and using a couple of spanners.”
“The overwhelming pride and love that I had for you that day,” continued Amanda, adding the hashtags “#skills” and “#lifeskills”.
Fans quickly chimed in with their own comments, with some sharing clapping and heart emojis and one saying: “A brilliant achievement Raven.”

Another posted: “An incredible achievement. Well done.”
“No success is accidental,” said another fan, adding: “Congratulations!”
Someone else said it was a “great achievement”, as another posted: “Proud mum and dad moment.”
Amanda and Clive share Raven as well as Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy. The couple split up in 2022 after 22 years of marriage but continue to work and raise their brood together.
Their original TV show Our Yorkshire Farm followed as they raised their family at Ravenseat Farm. Their latest series, Our Farm Next Door, follows them as they try and transform a run down farm property and turn it into a family home.
