As of writing, the discussion of books and reading more broadly takes place on the Sunnie Instagram account. Readers can use the hashtag #SunnieReads to engage from their personal Instagram accounts, too.
There’s more, though. You can find some additional interesting reading on the Sunnie Reads website. This includes a monthly digital zine, which is packed with creative how-tos, stories of real young people, advice, and more. It gives a very 90s and 00s teen magazine feel to it–or maybe even a Rookie Magazine feel!–with a little bit more of an early 20-something vibe. Sunnie’s website also has a series of “digital playbooks,” meant to encourage people to learn something and be inspired to get creative offline.
Katie Couric Book Club
Veteran journalist Katie Couric made a resolution to read more and scroll less in 2026, and one way she’s committing to this is by starting a book club called the Katie Couric Book Club (KCBC). The goal is to read one book as a community per month. January’s pick was one of the most popular books of the past year, Virginia Evans’s The Correspondent.
Couric will hold the book club via her Substack. The first event, which took place in mid-January, invited readers to submit questions they’d like to ask the author about the book. The author then answered several of them in the live book club meeting. Readers who have a paid subscription to Couric’s newsletter were able to ask questions live–but no need to pay to take part.
As of writing, February’s pick has yet to be announced. Keep an eye on Couric’s Instagram page or on the landing page for the KCBC for more books and discussions throughout the year.
Whether you want to take part in the clubs in a formal manner or not, keeping an eye on both of these will probably build your TBR even higher. That’s not a bad thing, either!
