Donald Trump Calls Nancy Guthrie’s Possible Abduction A ‘Terrible Thing’

President Donald Trump spoke out on the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, calling it a “very unusual situation.” While signing legislation to end a partial government shutdown on Feb. 3, President Trump was asked by a reporter if he had been briefed on the case, which police are now investigating as a possible abduction. “I think it’s terrible,” Trump responded, before affirming that he would commit additional federal resources to the investigation. The president continued, saying he “always got along good with Savannah” and would be giving her a call.
