Nicki Minaj has left royal fans in stitches after putting on a hilarious British accent while voicing her views about the split between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the Royal family.
During a podcast with Katie Miller, the US rapper, who is also a well known Trump supporter, revealed that she is a fan of The Crown and admits having watched the Netflix drama series several times over.
This prompts Ms Miller, a former US government advisor, to ask: ‘What’s your take on Harry and Meghan then.’
After taking a deep breath, Minaj replies: ‘I think he should go home. Like ET, he should phone home and then go home.’
‘I did not think he should have aired the family’s dirty laundry,’ she adds, before putting on an impressive English accent and saying: ‘But that’s just me, darling.’
Minaj then continues: ‘I have nothing but love for them, for everyone. I love the Royal Family as if I know them. But I think Americans, we love the idea of the Royal Family so much, and I just was like “uh”.
‘But you know, people do things, and you don’t know why, and you don’t know what’s going on inside of them.
‘So I don’t judge. But I was like “oh man” because I felt like I knew them in some way.’
The rapper again makes light of the situation as she puts on the same English accent to say: ‘So I was like “Harry, no don’t do that, you should know better”.’

The Sussexes (pictured in October) have called Montecito, California home since the summer of 2020 – after they fled the UK and the Royal Family
The Duke of Sussex has previously insisted that he will never move back to Britain because ‘he’s genuinely very happy in California’.
But admittedly he ‘would love’ to spend more time in the UK going forward and has told his father King Charles it could even be every few months in 2026.
The monarch desperately wants a relationship with his youngest son – and especially his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet, who he has met just a handful of times.
Just last month, it was reported that Meghan was planning a return to Britain this summer for the first time in four years – but only if security arrangements are approved for her and Harry.
The Duchess is expected to join her husband at a one-year countdown event for the Invictus Games on July 10, ahead of the 2027 Games in Birmingham.
Harry is still awaiting the outcome of a review into his security provision, following his long-running battle to regain armed police protection when visiting Britain.
Meghan has previously joined Harry at similar one-year countdown ceremonies in Canada and Germany, and sources say she is keen to do the same in the UK – provided safety concerns are resolved.
It would mark Meghan’s first trip back to Britain since September 2022, when she attended Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.

Meanwhile, Minaj’s appearance on the podcast comes shortly after she publicly announced she was Donald Trump’s No. 1 fan during a surprise appearance for an event on Trump Accounts in Washington last week.
She emerged in a furry white coat and with her multi-inch-long acrylic nails took Trump’s hand, which is prone to bruising and bleeding due to his high aspirin dose.
Trump praised Minaj for investing hundreds of thousands into accounts for her supporters’ children, then went off script to invite her on stage alongside businessman and Daily Mail contributor Kevin O’Leary.
Minaj, who appeared shier-than-usual in front of the government and business audience, gushed about Trump despite recent backlash over her outward support for the President.
‘I am probably the president’s No. 1 fan,’ Minaj reaffirmed from the podium in the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium on Wednesday. ‘And that’s not going to change.’
