The estranged brothers haven’t seen each other since they were forced come together at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in 2022.
Some had hoped that might change when Harry returned to the U.K. for his case against the publisher of Daily Mail, but William made sure to stay away.

“This is because there is no trust between the brothers,” according to royal author Robert Jobson, who believes this is the reason why the siblings have yet to reconcile.
He told HELLO!: “Right now, William is focused on duty, Harry on grievance. William is building a future, and he no longer needs Harry’s drama. You can’t bridge that gap when one brother is moving forward, and the other won’t let go of the past and the bitterness.”
The close bond they shared as children — and during the time following their mother Princess Diana’s death in August 1997 — is now long gone.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the U.K. in 2020 and soon settled down in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The friction between siblings escalated when Harry wrote his memoir Spare, in which he recounted numerous negative stories about Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton.
“William and Harry are not believed to have been on good terms for a number of years now,” expert Jasmine Carey wrote. “Although Harry no longer lives in the U.K., and hasn’t since quitting royal life, he does make various trips across the pond back to the U.K., but during these trips, the duke never appears to meet with William, even when they are just a matter of miles apart.”

Harry will be back in the U.K. soon for the Invictus Games, which will take place in England in 2027. Reports suggest that Prince Harry hopes to have his father, King Charles III, open the event with him and plans to invite other members of the royal family as well. However, the chances of William attending remain very slim.
A source told National Examiner that William “is absolutely seething over this,” and “he can’t believe his dad is falling for the bait.”
