While many fans daydream about marrying their favourite celebrities, there’s a surprising amount of famous faces who have ended up tying the knot with their biggest fans. From Justin Bieber megafan Hailey Baldwin marrying her teen crush to the Universal Studios worker who went on to marry a Harry Potter star, these encounters prove that sometimes real-life romance can be like something out of a storybook.

Taylor Lautner’s wife was a Twilight superfan – though wasn’t Team Jacob
Taylor Lautner and Taylor Dome
Before she met the actor, Taylor Dome was a Twilight superfan – though Taylor Lautner hilariously revealed on The Kelly Clarkson Show that she happened to be Team Edward. “I’m allowing her to make that mistake, it’s in her past!” he joked, while Taylor herself also shared a throwback picture on her Instagram with the caption “#twilightforever”.
The two Taylors were introduced by the actor’s sister in 2018, and the happy couple have been married since 2022; the pair also co-host the popular podcast The Squeeze, and have interviewed Taylor’s former Twilight co-stars, including Nikki Reed.

Steve met his future wife at a comedy club in 1987
Steve Harvey and Marjorie Bridges
Although they didn’t get married until 2007, comedian and television host Steve Harvey initially met his future wife Marjorie back in 1987 at a comedy club in Memphis, Tennessee. The Family Feud host recalled meeting his wife for the first time: “She walked into the comedy club late, on the front row.”
It was clearly love at first sight for Harvey. At a recording for Family Feud, he recalled the first words he said to Marjorie: “Lady, I don’t know who you are, but I’m going to marry you one day.”
According to Harvey himself, the pair dated until ‘like 1989’ – with Steve going on to marry Mary Shackelford from 1996 until 2005. He eventually reconnected with Marjorie, stating “It was like being reborn”.

Hailey was a big fan of Justin as a teenager

Hailey Baldwin famously caught Bieber Fever hard as a teenager, attending Justin’s concerts and even meeting him in 2009. According to her old tweets, she was also a big fan of “Jelena”, writing in 2011, “I don’t care what anyone says but Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez together is the definition of a teenage dream!” she tweeted in September 2011, per Page Six.
Now a mega-famous model and businesswoman, the pair first sparked relationship rumours in 2015, although their relationship was on-and-off before their eventual marriage in 2018. The pair welcomed their first son, Jack Blues Bieber, in 2024.

Naomi was a fan of Bob’s comedy before meeting him

Film producer Naomi Yomtov may have been married to Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk since 1997, but she confessed in a 2014 interview with Playboy that she developed a crush on him before they ever met. After seeing him perform at a comedy club in West Hollywood in 1994, Naomi was convinced he was “the one”.
“People would offer to introduce me to him, but I didn’t want to force it,” she admitted; the pair reportedly met properly a year or two later, and now share a son and a daughter.

Billie Joe met his wife at a Green Day concert
Billie Joe Armstrong and Adrienne Nesser
An original Green Day fan, writer Adrienne Nesser struck up a conversation with the band’s frontman during a concert in Minneapolis in 1990, asking Billie Joe where she could get a copy of their CD, per Mankato Free Press. The pair dated long-distance for 18 months before calling it quits, and Adrienne was later engaged to Libido Boyz frontman Billy Bisson.
After reconnecting in 1993, Adrienne moved to California to be with Billie and the pair became engaged within two weeks. “I was totally scared. But super excited. It was a new adventure, and I was ready,” she told the publication. The pair now share two sons, who are both following in their father’s musical footsteps.

Kevin initially forgot his first encounter with Kyra

The Closer star Kyra Sedgwick first met her Hollywood husband well before she was also his peer. The actress was just 12 when she met a 19-year-old Kevin Bacon after his appearance in an off-Broadway play, and was reportedly a big fan of his performance.
“I was buying a sandwich in the deli around the corner. This 12-year-old girl came up and said, ‘Hi, I liked you in the play,’” Kevin told The Drew Barrymore Show; the pair later worked on Lemon Sky (1988) together, though Kevin joked that “she did not like me” as the actor didn’t remember their first encounter.

Kelly Preston reportedly said she would eventually marry John Travolta when she was just 16
John Travolta and Kelly Preston
Legendary actor John Travolta first met his wife Kelly Preston on the set of the 1989 comedy The Experts. Despite the film doing nothing of note at the box office, it would be life changing for the couple.
Their friendship eventually blossomed into a relationship and the pair got married in 1991 and stayed together until Kelly’s death from breast cancer in 2020. She is survived by John, as well as their children, Ella and Benjamin.
Their long-term romance was a long time coming for Kelly, who reportedly saw the poster of Grease when she was just 16-years-old and said “I’m going to marry that man.”

Matthew met his wife while visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Matthew Lewis and Angela Jones
Angela Jones was working at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida – the home of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – where she ran into Neville Longbottom himself. Actor Matthew Lewis was reportedly spellbound by his future wife, and the couple ended up tying the knot two years later.
“Not only did I miss @ArcticMonkeys in LA but they were performing in Italy at the same time we were there and my wife made me get married instead. Fuming,” the actor joked on X, alongside a picture of their lush Italian nuptials.

Sibi was working on set while Christian was filming Little Women
Christian Bale and Sibi Blazic
Christian Bale first met his future wife Sibi Blazic on the set of his 1994 film Little Women, where she was working as a personal assistant to star Winona Ryder. The couple married in Las Vegas six years later and share two children together, though their first encounter didn’t mark the last time they teamed up on set.
Sibi, also a stunt driver, worked on The Dark Knight Rises (2012) alongside her husband as Batman. “She was chasing me through the city,” Christian told The Wall Street Journal. “She was driving one of the cop cars. She can do 180s and stunts and all that. She terrifies me”.

Jerry and Jessica met at a gym in Manhattan

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld reportedly bumped into his now-wife, author Jessica Sklar, at a luxury gym in New York’s Upper West Side in 1998, though she was recently married to producer Eric Nederlander. After the couple divorced the following year, she married the Seinfeld frontman and the pair share three children.
“He makes me laugh endlessly, and he makes our children cackle,” Jessica told People in 2007. The duo recently celebrated their 25-year anniversary, and Jessica is frequently seen stepping out with the funnyman at red carpet events.
