UPDATE: Albert has been returned to Cyril!

I’ve gotten so many comments on my last post asking for updates so it seems I have become the Albert Reddit correspondent for this news cycle.

Timeline of events:

1 week ago Albert was kidnapped. The next morning Cyril took to TikTok to announce this and ask his community for any information.

A couple days later, videos of Albert started popping up on TikTok from a new account. According to Cyril, it was as he suspected, a young teenage fan of Albert. He urged people not to harass them so they would keep communicating with him. It doesn’t seem this person really had a plan to the kidnapping, likely just a desire for attention.

Last night he posted that he knew where Albert was and he was driving two hours to pick Albert up.

Today he posted this photo, reunited with Albert!

Congrats Cyril and Albert! I am so happy and relieved he is home safely.

There is some speculation out there that this whole event may have been faked for drama/news. One of the reasons people gave was that Cyril kept directing people to join his Snapchat for updates, which some say this was created to try to grow that platform, or maybe he just does really prefer posting updates there rather than to his main TikTok, who’s to say? A lot of influencers have secondary accounts to post less polished content.

Personally I don’t care about any speculation because I am just so happy to see Albert back with Cyril. I’d rather take it at face value, than to accuse someone of lying when they probably just went through one of the most traumatic experiences of their life.

This news got really big, and unfortunately I think it attracted a lot of drama to Cyril, he’s been harassed quite a bit with accusations. His most recent post he seems pretty affected by it… you can see the translated screenshot above.

Cyril has a lot of fans and supporters, hopefully this blows over soon and everything can go back to normal for him and Albert.
