Disney+ revived The Muppet Show this week, which means the entire puppet ensemble is back, including Kermit the Frog and my favorite diva, Miss Piggy. I hear Sabrina Carpenter and Seth Rogen make cameos, but because the Muppets are the real stars of the show, the furry creatures are now entering the podcast scene to promote their hard work. For example: Miss Piggy appeared on the Barstool podcast Chicks in the Office, where she talked about how hard it is being “such an iconic diva,” sweating under the bright lights of fame, and why she thinks she could beat out Zendaya for an Oscar-worthy role. Most important, she talked about her great taste in men.
When the show’s hosts asked if anyone had ever caught her eye aside from Kermit, Miss Piggy guffawed. “Kermit is very handsome — have you seen him?” she said. “I would say he’s the only frog for moi.” She then giggled and added: “There’ve been a lot of men, though. A lot of ’em.”
“Fine, I’ll say one more now: Pitt,” she went on. After the hosts guessed that she was talking about Brad Pitt, Miss Piggy clarified: “Am I talking about Brad or the entire male cast of the hospital show?”
Miss Piggy is, of course, referring to the men of HBO Max’s The Pitt, which stars Noah Wyle as the extremely handsome and equally capable Dr. Robby. He’s rugged, quick on his feet, and exhausted. What more could a woman (or a pig) want? There are a handful of other eligible bachelors milling around the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center — maybe Nurse Jesse is more Miss Piggy’s taste? Ultimately, Miss Piggy didn’t reveal which Pitt male cast member she was talking about, but as a fellow woman of distinction, I’m going to go out on a limb and say Doctors Robby and Langdon. Something tells me she might “accidentally” break a leg just to land in their ER. Just don’t tell Kermit.
