Tiwa Savage is a Nigerian Afrobeats musician
Nigerian Afrobeats musician Tiwa Savage has openly admitted that she still has feelings for her former partner and music collaborator, Wizkid.
Speaking in a video sighted by GhanaWeb on X, the award-winning singer confessed that performing alongside Wizkid remains emotionally challenging for her due to their history together.
According to Tiwa Savage, reuniting with the musician during their recent performance at the Great Lagos Countdown 2025 stirred up old emotions she thought she had moved past.
“It’s uncomfortable performing with Wizkid on stage. I admit I’m still in love with him,” she said.

She explained that seeing him again after years apart made her heart race just like it did when they were together.
“When we reunited at Great Lagos Countdown 2025, my heart beat just as it did six years ago. Every time Wizkid gets close, I can’t control my smile,” she stated.
Tiwa further reflected on the memories they shared, noting that the good moments sometimes make her forget the challenges they faced in their relationship.
“He gave me so many beautiful memories that I almost forgot how bad our relationship once was. If I could choose one man in this lifetime, it would only be Wizkid,” she added.
