Tramell Tillman’s mystery character in Spider-Man: Brand New Day has finally been revealed. Nexus Point News has learned that Tramell Tillman is set to portray an obscure X-Men villain, William Metzger in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. 

Metzger will serve as the leader of Damage Control in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will be an anti-mutant character. Sources tell Nexus Point News that Tillman signed a multi-picture deal which potentially includes Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men films. Metzger in the comics was created by Joe Casey and Steve Rude in 1999 and first appeared in X-Men: Children of the Atom 1. Metzger led the Anti-Mutant Militia in the X-Men: Children of the Atom miniseries. The character was later killed by Magneto.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day was written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who are best known for writing the previous three MCU Spider-Man films. Destin Daniel Cretton will direct the film, after previously directing Marvel Studios projects Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Wonder Man. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal will produce the film. Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon return as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Michelle Jones, and Ned Leeds. Michael Mando is set to reprise his role as Mac Gargan/Scorpion from Spider-Man: Homecoming, along with Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo reprising their MCU roles as Frank Castle/Punisher and Bruce Banner/Hulk. New characters set to debut are Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone as well as Sadie Sink and Liza Colon Zayas in undisclosed roles. Production took place in London and Glasgow from August to December of last year.

Tillman is best known for his role as Seth Milchik in Apple TV’s hit series Severance. He’s also known for his roles in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Hunters, Sweethearts, and Godfather of Harlem. His upcoming film appearances included Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol, Good Sex, and Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to be released by Sony on July 31, 2026.
