Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have talked about adopting a baby, friends have revealed.

The news could spell fresh heartache for David and Victoria Beckham who face the prospect of having no relationship with their future grandchildren.

Brooklyn’s six-page Instagram statement last month blasted both his parents and also made a clear reference to his “future family” with Nicola.

Friends say Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 31, have “talked extensively” about adopting a child, The Sun reports.

A source told the newspaper: “This is a subject Nicola and Brooklyn firmly align on. They both want a brood of children, and for at least one to be adopted.

“They both know they come from a place of unimagined privilege and therefore strongly want to give back by offering a disadvantaged baby or child the best possible life.

“They have talked extensively about it.”

The insider added that Nicola has cut her weight down to just 90lbs for a recent film role, meaning having a baby themselves is not currently an option.

Much of Brooklyn’s Instagram missive focused on his parents’ relationship with the press and he also criticised his mother for allegedly dancing “inappropriately” with him at his wedding reception.

But the Beckhams are said to have been most concerned at his reference to a “future family” and fear the idea of having no contact with grandchildren, as they “adore the idea of becoming grandparents”.

The insider added: “As two hugely family-orientated people, it would cut them deep not to have a role in a prospective grandchild’s life.”

On Thursday, it was reported Brooklyn appears to have removed a tattoo tribute to his father as the family rift continues to play out publicly.

The aspiring chef was previously tattooed with a large anchor on his upper right arm bearing the word “dad”, alongside the message “Love you Bust” — Sir David’s long-standing nickname for his eldest son.

Recent photographs suggest the tribute has now been lasered off. The change comes just weeks after Brooklyn released a scathing public statement in which he said he did not wish to reconcile with his family.

The timing is particularly poignant, as Sir David, 50, was seen only days earlier with his own “Buster” neck tattoo — inked in 2015 in honour of Brooklyn — still clearly visible during a trip to Doha.
