Love Island alum Maura Higgins had just three words to say when she happened to bump into a Hollywood legend at the Super Bowl in Santa Clara. Maura, who is currently on the US version of The Traitors, was among the many celebrities in the crowd of up to 75,000 at the NFL showdown on Sunday, which included the likes of Adam Sandler, Justin Bieber, and western movie hero, Kevin Costner.

It was the Yellowstone actor in particular that left Maura starstruck when she first saw him pop up on the Jumbotron. The reality TV star captured the moment he appeared on-screen, admitting she “gasped” when she saw the actor. While Maura was clearly excited to see Kevin in the stadium, not long after, she actually came face-to-face with the Academy Award winner in a chance encounter.

Maura was going down the escalator when, who should be going up on the other side at the same time but Mr Kevin Costner himself. Just as she passed the actor, Maura told him: “Kevin, I love you,” as the star looked in her direction.

“The luck of this happening to me,” Maura wrote over the clip first shared to her Instagram Stories, adding crying and tearful emojis as well as an emoji of hands forming a heart shape. She later included the video in her carousel post from her time at the Super Bowl, which was her first year attending the star-studded NFL event.

 Celebrities at the Super Bowl

Celebrities seem to love sport just as much as the rest of the world – and the Super Bowl is no exception. This year’s game day had quite the A-list turnout. Kevin Costner sat in a very star-studded VIP box alongside Jessica Alba, rapper Machine Gun Kelly and Jamie Foxx to watch the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots battle it out for the 2026 Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Rumoured couple Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton may have subtly confirmed recent dating speculation as they were seen sitting together and chatting in the crowd. Other celebrities in attendance included Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey Bieber, Jay-Z with his daughters  Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter, Jon Bon Jovi, Chris Pratt, and Taylor Swift’s beau and three-time Super Bowl champion, Travis Kelce.

Grammy-winning singer Bad Bunny took to the stage for a memorable half-time performance at the Super Bowl, during which he brought out singers Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin to sing ‘Die With a Smile’ and ‘Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii’ respectively.

At one point in the show, the camera panned to reveal a group of celebrities, including rapper Cardi B, Karol G, and actors Jessica Alba and Pedro Pascal, dancing and singing along.
