Second Ransom Deadline Passes

Meanwhile, the 7 p.m. ET, Monday, deadline in the second ransom note in the Nancy Guthrie missing case passed without the transaction being made. The note had demanded $6 million in bitcoin to be deposited in a publicly available account. The family had asked for proof of life in a video message of their own, which did not come.

Notably, the ransom noted remain unverified and FBI and other authorities continue to probe. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said on Monday that there is no new information in the case and the probe at the residences of the three siblings and Nancy Guthrie will continue.
