When racism is involved, life isn’t so golden after all. Former Real Housewives of New York cast member Jill Zarin has been preemptively fired from E!’s upcoming RHONY reunion series, The Golden Life, per Variety. Zarin came under fire this week for racist comments about the Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show, which she posted to her Instagram. In the since-deleted video, she called it the “worst halftime show ever.” “It’s 250 years that we’re celebrating right now, the United States, and I just don’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish and, quite frankly, grabbing his ‘G’-area,” she said. “I think it was totally inappropriate. You’ve got all these young kids watching the Super Bowl, and he doesn’t have to be grabbing himself every five seconds because he’s so insecure. Seriously.”

People involved with Housewives and Zarin have since spoken out against her. Zarin Fabrics, the store once run by her late husband, Bobby, posted a photo of her with a red X over her face. “Zarin Fabrics is built on creativity, collaboration, and respect for the diverse communities that shape art, culture, and expression,” the caption read. Even Zarin’s daughter, Ally Shapiro, spoke out in support of Bad Bunny. “Best halftime show in years,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Which honestly is weird to even call it that it was like a true performance with a story line and actors and the direction, lighting everything was perfect.” Andy Cohen, meanwhile, had just two words: “Call E!”

The Golden Life, which will air on E!, will now star Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Countess Luann, and Kelly Bensimon. Or at least it will star them until Singer is racist yet again.
