They say it’s the cover-up, rather than the original sin, that gets you in the end. It’s true for politicians, state bodies and the Catholic Church, as we’ve discovered far too many times.
But the slow drip-feed of documents from the Epstein files reveals time and again how the tentacles of squalid dealings from the late paedophile and “fixer” wound their way to the top echelons.
