The Princess of Wales – or as she’s affectionately known to the public, Kate Middleton – delighted fans by spending time in a school this week to mark Children’s Mental Health Week. While there, the royal made sure to spend plenty of time with the students who were all pretty buzzing to meet a real-life future Queen (understandably) – and cemented herself with a new royal title while she was at it.

As ever, a round up of photos from the official visit to Castle Hill School in Croydon was later shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram account, with Kate herself even personally signing off the caption with a ‘C’ for Catherine: “This year’s Place2Be Children’s Mental Health Week is about the importance of belonging.

“It can be easy to overlook the importance of the things that matter most; love, care and time spent together. Belonging and connection is so important, and is a fundamental part of early childhood development.”

She rounded off with, “As Patron of Place2Be, I am incredibly proud of the work they do to support families and communities to nurture children and young people. C”

Everyone’s clicking on…

Further footage showed Kate getting stuck in at a crafting table and admiring the children’s artwork.

The Princess Of Wales Visits Castle Hill Academy For Children’s Mental Health Week 2026

Over in the comments, royal fans were quick to anoint the Princess with a shiny new title to match her dedication to the youngest generation: ‘The Children’s Princess’, somewhat of a nod to Princess Diana’s nickname as ‘The People’s Princess’.

“The Children’s Princess doing what she does best: just being herself” one person commented, while another simply wrote, “#thechildrensprincess ♥️”.

We’ve seen the Princess connect with children as part of her work of numerous occasions, with her even taking on the position as Joint President of the UK Scouts Association back in 2020.
