EXCLUSIVE: We hear that Daniel Kaluuya is in talks to star in Together director Michael Shanks’ next sci-fi thriller Hotel Hotel Hotel Hotel.
Hotel Hotel Hotel Hotel follows a man who wakes up trapped in a mysterious hotel room. All alone in a mind-bending prison, his only chance for escape is teamwork — with himself. Shanks, who wrote the script that appeared on the 2021 Black List, is also directing and producing as Deadline first told you.
Hotel Hotel Hotel Hotel is a negative pickup for A24. The pic will be produced by Mike Cowap and Emma Fitzsimmons of Princess Pictures and Adam McKay and Todd Schulman of HyperObject Industries. Princess Pictures previously produced Shanks’ directorial debut Together. That horror rom-com sold out of Sundance 2025 to Neon for $17M and grossed over $32M around the globe.
Following his turn in Jordan Peele’s 2022 summer tentpole Nope, Kaluuya recently starred in the Chris Rock directed Misty Green which is coming out later this year. Kaluuya starred in such movies as Sicario and Kick-Ass 2, but broke out in Jordan Peele’s 2017 Oscar-winning sleeper horror hit, Get Out, which grossed close to $260M WW. Kaluuya went on to star in Ryan Coogler’s $1.3 billion grossing Marvel Studios title Black Panther, Steve McQueen’s Widows, and won a Best Actor Oscar for Judas and the Black Messiah for his role as Black Panther Chairman Fred Hampton. He also was the voice of Hobie Brown in Sony/Marvel’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse.
