Vanessa Feltz has described her “ideal man” ahead of Valentine’s Day tomorrow, revealing that one particular ’90s movie icon has always caught her eye. The presenter appeared on best’s Suddenly Single podcast during its first live event.

There, she was asked who her ideal love would be, responding: “I like Jeff Goldblum… I interviewed him on The Big Breakfast bed… You know, [he’s] tall and dark and sexy as hell and clever as anything.”

“He was on the bed with me on The Big Breakfast, and was just… ravishing,” Vanessa beamed. “And he can paint exquisitely, he plays the piano – like a dream. He’s clever, he’s funny, he’s well read. He’s just hypnotising.”

The star, who has also appeared on Celebs Go Dating, was previously with singer Ben Ofoedu. They had been engaged after beginning a relationship in 2006, though the couple split in 2023.

Since last year, she has hosted her Channel 5 daytime show Vanessa – which she describes as “about YOU – your stories, your opinions, your emotions, and your triumphs” – and around the same time exited ITV’s This Morning after more than three decades.

She later admitted that she would have stayed on the latter if she could, telling Metro in March 2025: “I love This Morning, I would never leave it, I couldn’t love it more.

“I would happily have stayed and gone on the back of a motorbike from the This Morning studio straight to Channel 5 and done both.

“I almost believed I’d be able to do that, but I think apparently, it’s not the way it’s done… but I’d have done it, and I think they would have been happy for me to do it too.”

Vanessa also revealed there was no drama, sharing: “I love doing it, they like me, we all love each other, and I know that sounds very cosy and all of that, but it gets like that after a while when you’ve been there so long and know everyone, it’s a great pleasure doing it.”
