A star from Clarkson’s Farm has revealed that she rushed to hospital on Monday after ‘chopping the end of her finger off’ and requiring surgery.
Harriet Cowan, 24, shared pictures onto her Instagram story with a caption that explained it all.
The Derbyshire-born farmer explained: ‘Sorry I’ve been quiet! Been a cr***y week.
Had a run in with a log splitter, chopping the end of my finger off. But quick surgery [and] they stitched it back on!!’
The farmer showed no sign of letting it get in her way, writing: ‘Lambing starts now.’
She went on to thank ‘the amazing team at Pulvertaft Hand Clinic’, and shared some gruesome looking pictures which showed the extent of the damage.

Cowan was a nurse and farmer when she started the Amazon Prime series in season four, but now she’s quit the former after admitting she ‘got the farming bug’.
Explaining her decision, Harriet announced she’d be starting a YouTube called Harriet On The Farm.
These days, she documents her life on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, boasting 1.4million followers across platforms.
She joined the series as a farmhand to help Jeremy Clarkson on Diddly Squat Farm while his right-hand man, Kaleb Cooper, was away.
As well as joining the likes of Clarkson, Cooper and Lisa Horgan on the hit documentary series, Cowan recently landed a presenting role for Channel 4’s Tiny Farmers.
Alongside comedian Jessica Knappett, the farming star filmed on an egg farm to discover what makes a happy hen, while ‘four junior future farmers scramble to complete some challenging eggcersises.’

Speaking about the project in partnership with The Happy Egg Co., Channel 4’s Digital Commissioning Executive Stephen Parnell said: ‘Harriet and Jessica’s infectious enthusiasm brings Tiny Farmers to life, connecting brilliantly with our young contestants as they compete to impress both hens and hosts.
Clarkson’s farm is due to return later this year, but it’s currently not known whether she’ll join the cast for this fifth instalment.
Last year Clarkson announced he would be taking a three month break from filming, which ‘genuinely frightened’ him.
In a press release promoting Millionaire Hot Seat, he said: ‘Until March, I won’t be filming a TV show for the first time in forty years.’
However, things may have changed earlier this month, when a cold spell hit the country.
Speaking to The Sun about filming the farming series, Clarkson said: ‘We’ve never had a rest, we wrap a series and immediately start again because farming doesn’t stop. […]

‘But this time Kaleb‘s gone off to Australia, he’s filming down there at the moment, I was doing Millionaire Hot Seat and I really wanted to have a holiday because I haven’t had one in ages.
‘So we just said: “Ok well let’s just actually wrap it…”. And then, I just said: “If it snows we’ll start filming again.”‘
Clarkson’s Farm is available to watch on Amazon Prime.
