Victoria Beckham has offered an olive branch to estranged son Brooklyn Beckham following a catastrophic fallout between the pair. Drama has engulfed the Beckham family in the past year – as previously unrealised tensions exploded into the global spotlight.

Suspicions that not all was well between the members of the fame hungry family first emerged last year when fans noticed that eldest son Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 31, seemingly snubbed the 50th birthday of football star dad David Beckham. And concerns of a family feud reached fever pitch last Christmas when the young couple spent time apart from the attention obsessed parents.

Last month, Brooklyn detonated a metaphorical nuclear bomb when he accused his parents of trying to sabotage his marriage and for always putting their fame ahead of everything else. But as Valentine’s Day dawned over the weekend, singer-turned-designer Victoria, 51, appeared to make an appeal for the affections of her eldest child – by utilising the sentiments of her youngest.

Sole daughter Harper Beckham, 14, shared a photo of herself with her sibling on Instagram to mark Valentine’s Day. The black and white image showed the teen as a girl, flanked by younger versions of her brothers; Brooklyn, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20.

In a touching caption, she wrote: “Happy Valentine’s Day to the best big brothers in the whole wide world” – along with a heart emoji. Seizing on the gesture, Vicky re-posted the image on her own Instagram Stories – perhaps hoping that her sons would see the post.

A message from his mum on the most romantic day of the year might not go down so well for aspiring chef Brooklyn, however – after he accused the Spice Girl of destroying the most romantic day of his life. In an astonishing that he issued in January, the furious influencer accused his parents of using him as a promotional tool for his entire life, accused them trying to destroy his marriage, accused them of putting fame above their family, and – most shocking of all – accused his mother of “humiliating” him on his wedding day.

In scathing posts, Brooklyn raged: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed. I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

His attack continued, with Brooklyn accusing his parents of foisting a fake life filled with “performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships.” He went on to address long-running claims that his 2022 wedding day had been sabotaged from within the Beckham family – as he accused his parents of ruining his big day, and stated they had tried to turn him away from his now wife.

In a string of accusations, he claimed Victoria cancelled making a dress for Nicola at the eleventh hour, “attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name”, told him that Nicola was “not blood” and “not family”, and suggested Victoria turned on him for placing his and Nicola’s grandmother’s on the top table at the reception over the Spice Girl and David.

In possibly the most eyebrow raising segment of his post, Brooklyn stated: “My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song.

“In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.”

He added: “I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.” And he went on to suggest he and Nicola travelled to the UK to mark David’s 50th birthday, but his father refused to see him outside of a media and camera filled party.

The damming comments came after the Beckhams previously weathered a string of scandals that would have ruined the careers of lesser beings. In leaked emails, David was seen to furiously lash out at royal committees for refusing to grant him a knighthood – although the tantrum-prone star finally had that wish granted last year.

He was seen to bitterly hit out a beloved opera singer Katherine Jenkins – who he branded a “f**king joke” and accused her of using cocaine – after she was awarded an OBE and he was snubbed. It was also alleged that he selfishly demanded that UNICEF cover hugely expensive travel costs when they invited him to partake in charity work. And during the pandemic, Vicky came under fire when it was exposed that she turned to government, tax payer money – rather than dip into her own £300 million fortune – to furlough staff during the pandemic.
