LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER will be representing the United Kingdom at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria in May 2026.

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER is a multi-talented solo artist, experimental singer/songwriter, live electronics performer and composer, inventor of unique musical machines, and self-proclaimed Eurovision fan based in Kent.

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER says: “I find it completely bonkers to be jumping on this wonderful and wild journey. I have always been a massive Eurovision fan, and I love the magical joy it brings to millions of people every year, so getting to join that legacy and fly the flag for the UK is an absolute honour that I am taking very seriously. I’ve been working a long-time creating, writing, and producing my own visions from scratch, and documenting my process. I will be bringing every ounce of my creativity to my performances, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear and see what we’ve created. I hope Eurovision is ready to get synthesized!”

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER burst onto the scene in 2014 as Sam Battle, the frontman of the indie rock band ZIBRA. The band performed at Glastonbury in 2015 for BBC Introducing. Since then, he launched his flourishing solo career indulging his passion for electronic and synth sounds. As LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER, he has played to packed venues across the UK and Europe, released a plethora of singles, albums, and EPs, and recently returned from a nationwide tour across Germany, the birthplace of the underground electronic music scene.

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER is also a popular content creator. After launching his YouTube channel in 2016, LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER has amassed over 85 million views and 1.4 million combined subscribers and followers across his various social accounts. He has formed a loyal community of followers who enthusiastically follow his passion of skilfully creating his musical inventions, and he has earned viral success building and playing unusual and eccentric electronic instruments; notably, organs made from Furbies and Game Boys, synthesizer bicycles, flame throwing keyboards, and a Star Wars droid orchestra.

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER’s unparalleled credentials in the world of synthesizers and electronics has led him to deliver a TEDx Talk discussing how he bought these outlandish inventions to life, release his very own video game, receive a Guinness World Record for building the world’s largest drone synthesizer, and he has even curated and opened a museum displaying his curious creations.

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER was chosen as the UK’s representative following an extensive search led by UK Eurovision Project Director and Music Industry figure, David May, alongside Andrew Cartmell, Executive Producer, BBC Studios North and Head of Delegation for the UK.

The song that LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER will perform as the UK’s entry at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest will receive its first radio play, along with the first exclusive interview, on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds in the coming weeks.

The 70th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Vienna, Austria following JJ’s victory at the Grand Final in May 2025 in Basel, Switzerland with their song Wasted Love.

The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will take place in Wiener Stadthalle, Vienna, on Saturday 16 May with the Semi-Finals taking place on Tuesday 12 and Thursday 14 May. The Grand Final and the Semi Finals will be broadcast live on BBC One and iPlayer plus via BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds.
