Connor Storrie, one of the breakout stars of Heated Rivalry, is in talks to join the ensemble cast of A24 comedy Peaked.

Molly Gordon and Allie Levitan are behind the project that follows two girls who traumatized you in high school as they try to relive their glory days at their 10-year reunion. Gordon is also set to direct.

Gordon and Levitan are also set to star in the film. Storrie will join an ensemble that includes Emma Mackey, Simone Ashley, Levon Hawke, Laura Dern, Mitra Jouhari and Gabby Windey.

A24 is set to finance and produce. David Hinojosa, Zach Nutman and Gordon will act as producers, with Levitan set to executive produce.

If the deal makes, Peaked will mark the first post-Heated Rivalry role for Storrie, who, along with his co-star Hudson Williams, has made a string of high-profile media appearances since the queer Canadian hockey drama took off in late 2025. Last month, Storrie, who has signed with CAA, and Williams served as torchbearers ahead of the 2026 Olympic Games and presented at the Golden Globes. Next up, Storrie will make his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live, where Levitan serves as a writer.

“Really, honest to God, all I want going forward is to keep having opportunities to work and be on set and enjoy the people and the experiences along the way,” Storrie told The Hollywood Reporter in the midst of Heated Rivalry’s meteoric rise. “I just feel so blessed to be doing the thing that I’ve always wanted to do with my life. How long that lasts, what that looks like, who I get to work with, the ups and the downs, I don’t know, but all I can do is be thankful for right now and hope that those fruits continue to grow.”

Heated Rivalry, hailing from Canadian streamer Crave and airing on HBO Max in the U.S., centers on a fictional hockey universe based on books by Rachel Reid. The show focuses on two rival professional players — Canada-born Shane Hollander (Williams) of the fictitious Montreal Metros and Russia-born Ilya Rozanov (Storrie) of the fictitious Boston Raiders — as they navigate a near-decade-long situationship-turned-relationship.

Crave renewed Heated Rivalry for a second season, and HBO Max confirmed it will continue to air the series.
