A river rapids ride at Legoland Windsor that shut for the last time in September 2023 will be demolished if a plan is approved.
The Viking River Splash ride was opened in 2010 and demolition company PCA Safety has submitted a proposal to clear the site for a new project.
The company said the Viking ride’s demolition will involve knocking down a raised steel queue line structure, its loading platform, control rooms, plant rooms, pump and treatment rooms and water storage lake.
Legoland has submitted another application to build a new 390-capacity 4D cinema on the site of its Imagination Theatre, one of the oldest attractions at the theme park, which celebrates its 30th anniversary next month.
